For most employees, orientation does not end after the second day. The following is a listing of other orientations and classes that you may need to attend.

  • Budd Terrace: Budd Terrace nursing staff should report to Budd Terrace on Day Three, Wednesday to begin nursing orientation. You will need to obtain a letter from the orientation facilitator on Day One highlighting information you will need to know prior to beginning nursing orientation at Budd Terrace. All other employees will report to their departments for their job specific training/orientation on Wednesday, Day Three.
  • Emory Children's Center (ECC): All ECC employees should report to their departments to learn job specific information on Wednesday, Day Three.
  • Emory Healthcare Inc. (EHI): All EHI employees should report to their departments to learn job specific information on Wednesday, Day Three.
  • The Emory Clinic (TEC): All TEC employees should contact their immediate supervisor for information on Wednesday, Day Three.
  • Hospitals (ECLH, EUH, WWH): All non-clinical / non-nursing should report to their departments to learn job specific information on Wednesday, Day Three.
  • Patient Services/Nursing Orientation: In addition to new employee orientation, nursing employees of Emory Crawford Long Hospital (ECLH), Emory University Hospital (EUH) and Wesley Woods Center (WWC) must attend patient services orientation which alternates between ECLH and EUH. The chart below describes which staff must attend.
  • Online Safety Education:  All Emory Crawford Long Hospital, Emory University Hospital and Wesley Woods Hospital employees need to complete de'Medici, our online safety educational program, within 30 days of employment.
    All employees based in The Emory Clinic need to complete Synquest, an online safety educational program. Synquest must be completed annually prior to the employee's performance evaluation.

Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

ECLH and EUH RNs and LPNs

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and next Monday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

ECLH and EUH Nurse Externs and Patient Care Assistants

Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

ECLH and EUH

  • Nurse Techs
  • Unit Clerks
  • Department Assistants
  • L&D Patient Accounts Registrars
  • ER Greeters and Registrars

Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

ECLH and EUH surgical OR Techs

Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Thursday from 8 to 10 a.m.
