Emory physicians cited in Atlanta magazine “Top Doctors” issue

According to a survey of Atlanta doctors published by Atlanta magazine in its July 2009 “Top Doctors” issue, almost half (72) of all 165 doctors selected for recognition are Emory Healthcare doctors and Emory School of Medicine faculty.

Atlanta magazine asked doctors themselves who they would call when they needed medical attention. The publication’s Top Doctors list was compiled by the New York-based research firm Castle Connally Medical Ltd., whose physician-led team of researchers follows a rigorous screening process to select doctors named to the list.

The article listed 165 physicians and 45 specialties. According to a physician survey conducted by Atlanta magazine, more than 40 percent of Atlanta’s top doctors are Emory Healthcare physicians.
