Emory Glenn Family Breast Center

Welcome to the Emory Glenn Family Breast Center. We are dedicated to the prevention, detection, and comprehensive treatment of breast health issues and breast cancer. We offer a comprehensive approach to breast health and breast cancer treatment, providing the latest technology and research in a compassionate and caring environment.

The Emory Glenn Family Breast Center is affiliated with The Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Georgia's only National Cancer Institute-Designated Cancer Center and serves as the coordinating center for cancer research and care throughout Emory University.  With NCI Designation Winship joins an elite group of 65 cancer centers in the United States to have earned this coveted status. Winship is part of Emory's Woodruff Health Sciences Center, Emory Healthcare and Emory University and offers patients and their family members a vast array of resources in medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, complementary therapies, and social services.

At the Emory Glenn Family Breast Center, we understand that the diagnostic process can bring tremendous stress, anxiety and confusion to patients and their loved ones. We believe that providing the best treatment possible includes helping patients and their families navigate through the multitude of decisions during a very difficult time. Our Nurse Navigator program is designed to support our patients through the entire process.

Our multidisciplinary team of breast health specialists includes radiologists, surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, radiation oncologists, reconstructive surgeons, pathologists, lymphedema therapists, genetic counselors, nurses, dietitians, and a variety of other social service professionals dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.

Eight out of 10 breast lumps are not cancerous, and a breast health regimen that includes regular mammogram screenings can successfully detect breast cancer up to two years before it can be felt with self-examination. Successful breast cancer treatment is greatly enhanced by diagnosis and treatment in the earliest stages.
