"It was the best decision I ever made. My care here was the best I could have had, and I loved that…as much as you can love being treated for cancer, of course!"

Survivorship

Survivorship is a broad term that applies to people who have been diagnosed with cancer and are at any stage after diagnosis. Cancer survivorship also includes others – friends and family members affected by that diagnosis.

It is important to understand that it takes time to recover and adjust to life after a cancer diagnosis. It may not be possible to immediately return to a previous version of normal. Determining what the “new normal” is may take some time.
