Comprehensive Bleeding
Disorders Clinics

Welcome to the Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Clinics at Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

We are dedicated to providing patient-and family-centered care to improve the quality of life for adult persons with bleeding disorders and their families. We are led by our medical director, Christine Kempton, MD, MSc, and are staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of experts.

In addition to hematology providers specializing in bleeding disorders from Emory University’s Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology, the team also includes infectious disease specialists, specialized nurse coordinators, physical therapists, social workers, and outreach and support staff. With our close partnership with Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, we strive to provide our youngest patients with seamless, coordinated care as they transition from pediatric to adult care.

As Georgia’s largest bleeding disorders treatment center, members of our team coordinate the care of persons with bleeding disorders with primary care providers, other medical subspecialists, and dentists both at Emory University and in the community.
