Wound & Hyperbaric Center

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and other Advanced Wound Care Options

Most of the time, our bodies do a great job of healing. But sometimes they need help. This is especially true for wound care.

The Emory Wound & Hyperbaric Center offers the latest treatment options for chronic wounds and burns. Our team includes board-certified plastic surgeons, physical therapists, pain management specialists and dietitians. Together, they create a personalized plan to speed wound healing so you can get back to doing the things you love.

Specialized Wound Care Treatments

At Emory, we offer a variety of advanced wound care therapies, including:

  • Skin grafts: Transplanting healthy skin from another part of the body onto a wound.
  • Wound-healing bandages: Special bandages that use advanced technology to control a wound's moisture level and temperature.
  • Ultrasonic removal of injured tissue (debridement): Soundwave technology used to remove damaged skin and reduce bacteria within a wound.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for Wound Care

Emory Wound & Hyperbaric Center offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to treat chronic wounds and burns. This advanced wound care treatment delivers pressurized, pure oxygen to a wound to stimulate healing.

Two Convenient Wound Care Locations

Our Wound & Hyperbaric Center sees patients at two convenient locations:

  • Emory University Hospital Midtown
  • Emory Decatur Hospital

Your wound type will determine which location is best for you.

We offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy at both center locations. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy for chronic wound care is delivered at Emory Decatur Hospital. Hyperbaric oxygen at Emory University Hospital Midtown is used to treat burns, carbon monoxide poisoning and decompression sickness (the bends).
