The personal and spiritual concerns of patients and families are important to the quality of care Winship provides. At Winship, the Pastoral Services department provides chaplains that offer spiritual care, support and presence to patients, families and staff. The support of the chaplain continues from the outpatient to inpatient care facilities.
Located on the first floor at Winship, The Purdom Chapel is an interfaith chapel available for individual and group times of silence, prayer and meditation. The chapel is open during the clinic business hours. Chaplains are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Pamela Randall, M.Div. is Chaplain of Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. Pamela graduated from Salem College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Religion, and from Duke Divinity School with at Master of Divinity in Christian Education. Before she joined Winship in 2003, she was a Chaplain Resident for the Emory Center for Pastoral Services. At Winship, Pamela offers pastoral, emotional and spiritual support to patients and families, educates patients and families about Advance Directives, and provides a safe environment to communicate with patients and families and assists them in using their faith to cope with illness and stress.

Emory Midtown is a 583-bed acute care teaching facility located in downtown Atlanta. The hospital offers a full range of services which includes general medicine, maternal and infant care, orthopedics, and surgery. The patient services include: four adult intensive care units; level III neonatal intensive care unit; The Carlyle Fraser Heart Center, a nationally recognized heart center; an acute pain service and a labor, delivery and recovery unit.

Wesley Woods Geriatric Center is made up of facilities which serve geriatric patients who are in independent living, assisted living and nursing home levels of care. It includes a 100-bed specialty facility, an outpatient primary care clinic geared to geriatric patients, a 195-bed nursing care facility, a 201-unit residential retirement facility, and a 22 bed assisted living facility. Wesley Woods is well known for its care of depression, Alzheimer’s disease, movement disorders, and rehabilitation.

Their mission is to accompany clergy persons throughout their vocational lives, discovering and providing needed support for effective ministry. The focus of their education and training is to be especially sensitive to the challenging points in the minister's career and family life, so that ministers can access vital resources when they are most needed. ECC works alongside persons of faith and accompany their discovery of direction and growth with honest hope and a clear sense of reality.

Also offering CPE, Emory Clergy Care’s parish based program allows current clergypersons, seminarians, and experienced lay ministers to participate in a learning experience that is unique in this region.
