The Infection Control Module Campaign which is set to end at midnight on December 31, 2009. Completion of the module requires seasonal influenza vaccination (or medical/religious exemption), TB skin testing within the last 12 months, attestation of other immunization, and successful completion of the Infection Control module.   All four components must be completed by December 31, 2009.  There will be no extension of this deadline.

Infection Control - All providers working at Emory Healthcare will be required to complete the Infection Control Training and Assessment between October 1 and December 31 annually and pass an Infection Control Test (requires 100 percent to pass). Providers will lose clinical privileges if the module requirements are not met by December 31 of each year

UPIN Registry - NHIC has discontinued issuing UPINs effective June 29, 2007. Additionally, CMS has extended its UPIN public “look-up” functionality and Registry website until May 23, 2008. Under the Medicare FFS contingency plan, UPINs and surrogate UPINs may still be used to identify ordering and referring providers and suppliers until further notice.
