Dr.Dimitri Cassimatis

Dimitri Cassimatis, MD, FACC

Dr. Dimitri Cassimatis, the Coronary Care Unit Medical Director at Emory University Hospital Midtown, is a general cardiologist who joined Emory in 2010 after practicing adult cardiology for five years with the United States Army.  He received his MD degree from Harvard Medical School, and then trained in Internal Medicine and General Cardiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. 

He has interests in medical education and patient communication.  His practice focus is broad including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, arrhythmia, hypertension, and preventive cardiology.  He sees patients in clinic at Emory University Hospital Midtown, attends frequently in the Midtown Coronary Care Unit, and also practices at Grady Memorial Hospital with Emory Cardiology.
