Scheduling First Consultation

Patients have two options for scheduling an initial consultation with an Emory adult cardiac surgeon:

• Contact Emory HealthConnection^SM at 404-778-7777 or 1-800-75-EMORY (1-800-753-6679). HealthConnection^SM offers immediate access to information on Emory services and physicians.

Referring physicians also have two options:

• Call The Emory Physician Consult Line at 404-778-5050 or 1-800-22-EMORY (1-800-223-6679). For more information about referring a patient to Emory, please click here.

The following patient information is required:

• Physician's name, address and telephone number
• Patient's name, address and telephone number; date of birth; social security number
• Diagnosis and date of diagnosis
• Prior treatment, if any
• Insurance information

First Visit

Your initial visit will include an evaluation based on current symptoms or conditions and compilation of a thorough medical history. Please bring all pertinent medical records, X-rays and cardiac catheterization films. In fact, it is helpful for copies of these items to be reviewed by the surgeon beforehand, though not mandatory.
