Infection Control - All providers working at Emory Healthcare will be required to complete the Infection Control Training and Assessment between October 1 and February 1 annually and pass an Infection Control Test (requires 100 percent to pass). Providers will lose clinical privileges if the module requirements are not met by February 1 of each year. The Infection Control Training and Assessment will be an initial and annual review and update requirement. All covered providers who do not complete the module will have current clinical privileges suspended. New medical staff applicants will not be granted clinical privileges until the requirements are met. The training takes approximately 25 minutes. The module is web-based and can be accessed from anywhere. The test can be taken an unlimited amount of times within the specified time frame until you pass it. Once you have passed the required modules (there are four in total: Flu, IC Test, Immunization and TB Test) , electronic notification will be sent to Credentialing.

To find out who is required to complete the Infection Control Training and Assessment, learn about what the requirements are and more about the Infection Control Training and Assessment components, course content, the immunization and history information you’ll need before accessing the Training and Assessment module, and contact numbers of support staff available to guide you through the process, click What You Need To Know To Protect Your Privileges.
