Emory Aesthetic Surgery Center Plastic Surgeons

Our physicians and staff share a vision and dedication to the highest practice standards of plastic surgery. Each of our doctors is a recognized leader, trained at Emory University School of Medicine.

Most importantly, our practice is collaborative. We believe that the sharing of our skills and knowledge offers patients the latest techniques and advancements based on each of our physician’s active participation in the worldwide medical community.


Dr. T. Roderick Hester, MD

A native of Cairo, Georgia, Dr. Hester is considered one of the nation ’s leading plastic surgeons. He has contributed significant innovations in plastic surgery techniques and authored more than 100 scientific articles, and he lectures frequently throughout the world.

Dr. Hester received his undergraduate, medical and plastic surgery training at Emory University and was an Emory professor for 15 years. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of numerous local and national plastic surgery societies.

As a founder of Emory Aesthetics Surgery Center, Dr. Hester’s warmth and wisdom are reflected in the environment and ambience of the practice. His standing as a leader in the field is matched by his reputation of special caring and concern for his patients.

Dr. Jack Culbertson, M.D.

For 20 years, Dr. Jack Culbertson has spent three weeks a year performing plastic surgery on the Navajo Indian Reservation.

Dr. Culbertson is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at Emory University affiliated hospitals and a member of numerous national and local plastic surgery societies. He also has contributed to numerous text books and has lectured at many national and international meetings.

Dr. Culbertson has a particular interest in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Albert Losken, M.D.

Dr. Losken is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and currently is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in Emory University’s Division of Plastic Surgery. He earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School where he graduated with the highest honors. Dr. Losken completed his general surgery and plastic surgery training at Emory University.

Among his many activities, Dr. Losken is Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Atlanta VA Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. He is a member of national and local plastic surgery societies, and an annual speaker at numerous plastic and reconstructive surgery meetings. His contributions to the field include more than 50 scientific articles on all aspects of plastic surgery and numerous book chapters focusing on breast reconstruction.

Dr. Losken has a busy clinical practice with an emphasis on reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the breast, body contouring, facial aesthetics and reconstruction, as well as pediatric plastic surgery.

His emphasis on patient care and attention to detail has earned him the trust and respect of his patients and colleagues.

Dr. Erica Anderson, M.D.

Doctor Erica Anderson is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and currently holds an appointment as Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Emory University and is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

A native of Annapolis, Maryland, Erica earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan. While in Ann Arbor she represented the wolverines as a member of the university’s lacrosse team. She attended medical school at Georgetown University, where she was voted the president of her medical school class all four years. She completed her training in General and Plastic Surgery at the University of Colorado and finished a year of advanced training in aesthetic and breast surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. During this time she published several academic articles, textbook chapters, as well as contributed to multiple invited presentations at national meetings.

Prior to joining the staff at PACES, Erica was an Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Colorado. Erica’s clinical interests include aesthetic breast surgery, microsurgical breast reconstruction, body contouring, and facial aesthetic plastic surgery. Her attention to detail and emphasis on patient care has earned her the respect of her patients and colleagues. She is recently married and enjoys sharing a variety of outdoor activities with her husband Eric and their two vizslas, Max and Mimi.
