Ashley Kane MS, ATC, LAT*, OTC

Ashley KaneAshley is the clinical athletic trainer to Dr. Ken Mautner. She assists with clinical operations including patient evaluations, assisting with concussion evaluation and musculoskeletal ultrasound. She came to Emory to participate in the Emory Sports Medicine — Ossur Athletic Training Fellowship with the class of 2005-2006. She was hired upon graduation to oversee the daily operations of the Emory Sports Medicine — Ossur Athletic Training Fellowship and clinical management, while continuing to assist in the operating room. After valuable experience with the sports medicine surgeons, Ashley took the opportunity to expand her knowledge with Dr. Mautner.

Originally from California, Ashley received her bachelor's degree, with honors, in Sports Sciences at the University of Pacific. Continuing her education, she traveled across the country to Ohio and completed her master's degree in Athletic Training Education from Ohio University. While at Ohio University, Ashley worked as the head athletic trainer at Athens High School. She also participated in multiple research and education projects, winning awards at the university and national (NATA) levels. She was also published in the NATA News October '05 for her work with Cryocuff recommendations. During her fellowship, Ashley had the opportunity to provide athletic training services for the United Stated Soccer Federation National Team camps and continues to work as a rotational ATC LAT (Certified Athletic Trainer) for U.S. Soccer. Ashley has also provides athletic training services for the Tour de Georgia cycling race and United States Freestyle Ski Team. Ashley is an avid traveler and has visited more than 10 countries, including academic studies in Australia.

*L stands for licensed. Georgia requires licensure for ATC's to practice in the state.
