Laura Tabilo, MS, ATC, OTC, PES, CSCS

Laura serves Emory Orthopaedics as a Physician Extender for Dr. Gary McGillivary. Laura graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education, with an emphasis in Athletic Training. She went on to complete her Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Florida Atlantic University.
After receiving her Master’s degree, Laura worked as an Adjunct Professor for Florida Atlantic University’s department of Exercise Science and Health Promotion. She has also worked in the sport medicine field doing outpatient physical therapy and high school athletic training. She served as Head Athletic Trainer for Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, covering 72 sports teams at the middle school and high school level. Laura has also provided athletic training services for many national championships including USTA Tennis, AAU Tae Kwon Do, USA Hockey, Olympic Soccer and NFL Global Junior Championships.
After moving to Atlanta, Laura joined the Emory Orthopaedic Sports Medicine team as a clinical athletic trainer. Laura assists Dr. McGillivary, a hand and upper extremity specialist, in both clinic operations and in the operating room.
