• A control with each test which is necessary to assure validity of test.
• All testing is performed "in-house" by a state inspected bacteriology laboratory.  Many services contract out actual testing to a secondary laboratory.  Who do you call when you have a problem?
• Positive spore strips are gram stained to insure accurate results.
• All types of sterilizers can be tested - steam, gas, chemiclave and dry heat (including rapid heat transfer sterilizers).
• Sterilization failures are reported to the office immediately by phone.
• Consultation is available at no additional charge by ASCP registered medical technologists.
• Test result card is delivered by mail for each test.  Some services send only cumulative reports.
• A certification of participation, suitable for display, is provided.
