Gastroenterology
Emory-Children's Center Division of Gastroenterology is a diagnostic and treatment center for a comprehensive range of disorders and diseases affecting the digestive system. The digestive system extends from the mouth to the anus and encompasses the throat, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, rectum, pancreas, liver and gallbladder.
Emory pediatric gastroenterologists are especially trained to care for children with digestive disorders and assist their parents in understanding treatment options and special needs.
Led by Division Director, Benjamin Gold, MD, the staff treats conditions such as GI problems, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, nutritional deficiencies and other special diagnostic problems.
The Gastroenterology Division is located at Emory-Children's Center on the grounds of Emory University Campus
We offer nutritional evaluation and education for children with special feeding problems or a failure to thrive. In addition, the Gastroenterology provides medical support for the liver transplant program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, also located on Emory campus.
