Emory-Children's Center Division of General Pediatrics and Hospitalists
Emory-Children's Center general pediatricians serve as a resource for community primary care physicians who treat children. Working with the primary care doctors and their patients admitted to one of our affiliated hospitals, our physicians provide inpatient services including consultation and coordination with pediatric sub-specialists.
Emory-Children's Center physicians are based at several hospitals including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, located on the Emory University campus
Our goal is to provide primary care physicians and their patients with a seamless continuity of high quality care from admittance to the hospital through discharge.
SERVICES
The General Pediatric/Hospital staff of Emory-Children's Center services includes:
- Admitting and attending care of patients at the primary care physician's request or through a referral.
- Consultation regarding patients with special needs or medical challenges.
- Assistance and coordination with appropriate sub-specialists to care for a patient's special needs.
- Coordination, communication and transfer of care to the primary care physician upon the patient's discharge from the hospital.
- Outpatient evaluation for patients that require a second opinion.
