Emory-Children's Center Division Pediatric Genetic Evaluation

Approximately three percent of all living newborns have a birth defect or health problem. These conditions may be evident shortly after birth or later in the child's life. In addition, at least one third of pediatric hospitalizations are due to genetic conditions. Children who are not reaching developmental milestones or have characteristics of a genetic condition may be referred to Emory Genetics' Specialty Metabolic & Pediatric Genetics Clinic. Pediatric appointments are scheduled every Tuesday at Emory-Children's Center, located on the campus of Emory University. Families meet with a team of genetic professionals, including a M.D. Clinical Geneticist.
