Services & Procedures
The Emory Dermatology Aesthetic Center performs procedures under the safest medical conditions with the care and expertise of Emory physicians and medical aestheticians. Procedures include:

Laser Therapies: Laser technology is a safe, revolutionary process of smoothing lines and wrinkles or for minimizing blemishes or scars. Laser therapy can also be used for unwanted hair or unsightly veins.

Laser facial rejuvenation:. This procedure safely smoothes the surface of the face, resulting in a reduction of fine lines and minimizing deep furrows and crow's feet.

Other Laser Therapies include minimization or improved appearance of:

  • Body hair
  • Birthmarks
  • Leg veins
  • Age Spots, Liver spots
  • Facial veins
  • Tattoos

Botox injections: The much-heralded treatment of frown lines and deep wrinkles with the use of the biological Botox agent is performed at Emory under the safest conditions. Results can last from 3 to 4 months.

Collagen injections: This treatment replaces the natural collagen lost in the aging process and can be used effectively for frown lines, smile lines, crow's feet and to enhance lip fullness.

Dermabrasion: This procedure is a process of smoothing the skin and eliminating scarring using a tool that "sands" the skin's surface. It is effective on post surgical scars, acne scars, wrinkles and tattoos but is a delicate procedure that should be done by an experienced physician.

Microdermabrasion: This procedure is an intense exfoliation process that revitalizes the skin. It can reduce damage from the sun, age, and hereditary factors by smoothing the skin's surface and minimizing fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scarring. It is usually done in a series of treatments that last about 30 minutes per treatment.

Light to Medium Chemical Peels and Total Body Peels: This procedure smoothes and enhances the appearance of the skin using a process that removes the damaged outer layers of skin. The skin tone then appears more even and less pigmented. The process is helpful for damage caused by aging and loss of skin elasticity.

Sclerotherapy: A procedure to improve the appearance of spider veins, the tiny red and purple blood vessels that often appear on thighs or the lower leg. The treatment is relatively painless, and involves an injection of a solution into the vein, which makes them gradually fade. The procedure usually takes about 20 minutes, but more than one session may be required.

Other Aesthetic Therapies Include:

  • Stretch Mark Minimization
  • Skin Discoloration (Melasma) Treatment
  • Acne Prevention and Treatment
  • Rosacea Treatment, (a skin disorder that produces redness)
  • Specialization in ethnic skin types
  • Total packages for all skin types
