| Emory Healthcare employees based at Wesley Woods Center are part of a corporate initiative to raise geriatric care to a much, much higher level. Originally founded by the United Methodist Church and Emory University, Wesley Woods Center has specialized in geriatrics for half a century. We now serve more than 40,000 older or chronically ill individuals. This established, historical record is especially important to the seniors and their families seeking the dependability of sensitive, responsive care. The Wesley Woods Center is nationally recognized for its comprehensive care to individuals and families who face age-related health care issues.
As do other Emory Healthcare facilities, Wesley Woods Center combines community-based care with state-of-the-practice health care drawn from academic and research staff. Seniors require more than hospital care, and Wesley Woods Center responds by providing a comprehensive unit which includes Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital, Wesley Woods Health Center, Budd Terrace, Wesley Woods Towers, Outpatient Clinic, Long Term Acute Care Hospital, and a Wound Therapy Clinic. Wesley Woods Center may be most well known for our inpatient, outpatient, and day hospitalization programs in depression, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, sleep disorders, and rehabilitation. These fields offer you the chance to enjoy the combination of professional growth with the reward personal gratification of helping those most in need.
