Applicants must have a bachelor's or master's degree with a major in foods and nutrition or dietetics from an accredited college or university, with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.9. Academic work must meet the educational requirements of the didactic program specified by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education programs.
The internship does not assess prior learning towards achievement of any assignments, projects or rotations.
Applicants are rated on a composite of academic ability, personal attributes, applicable experience, and potential for contributing to the field of dietetics as documented by references, work and volunteer experience, transcripts and personal statement in the letter of application. Sex, age, sexual orientation, marital status, race, creed, national origin, color or disability influence neither ratings nor acceptance into the program. GRE scores are not required.
