Program Goals
The program will prepare graduates to be competent entry-level dietitians.
- Graduates will achieve a pass rate of 90% on the registration examiniation for dietitians.
- Within 12 months of completing the program, at least 80% of graduates will have obtained employment in the field of nutrition or continued their education in a related field.
- Graduates will evaluate their skill level to meet the competences as well prepared 85% of the time (at time of graduation).
- Employers will rate graduates' knowledge base and abililty to perform as meeting the expectations of the positions 90% of the time.
Through encouragement and support, program personnel will attempt to ensure that all interns graduate from the program.
- Graduation rate will be 100%.
- Interns will rate preceptors to be encouraging and supportive 90% of the time.
- Interns will rate the director as encouraging and supportive 90% of the time.
The program will provide interns with a wide range of experiences to expose them to the vast opportunities available in the practice of dietetics.
- Interns will rate the variety of rotations and experiences as excellent or good.
- Program will maintain rotations in clinical., community and food service.
