The pharmacy practice residency at Emory Healthcare is an individualized, organized training program designed to develop clinicians who practice independently and excel in clinical service, teaching and research.  The program provides opportunities in both general pharmaceutical care and pharmacy specialty practice.

Community and Teriary Care
The Emory Crawford Long Hospital site emphasizes community medicine and specialty areas (cardiology, neonatology); the Emory University Hospital site emphasizes tertiary care medicine and specialty practice (cardiology, hematology/oncology, solid organ transplantation).  Rotation schedules are flexible and designed to provide residents with a solid foundation of core experiences with ample opportunity for pursuing individual interests.

Personal Preceptors
Each resident is assigned a primary preceptor to adminstrate them through the program to ensure that the goals of both the resident and the program are being met.  A modified residency learning system (RLS) is utilized which includes global evaluations conducted with the primary preceptor thorughout the year.
