Glaucoma specialist Allen Beck is one of the glaucoma specialists at the Emory Eye Center involved in saving sight for many patients. Routinely thought of as an "older" disease, glaucoma also affects children. Here Dr. Beck examines Lynzee Moore, 4, who was diagnosed with congenital pediatric glaucoma. She underwent a 360-degree trabeculotomy. Happily, Lynzee does not need eye drops or glasses now.

Lynzee's ability to see is directly attributable to the complex surgery she received at the Emory Eye Center. Now when she looks up at the sky and spots an airplane in the distance, she thinks of her father flying off on business trips and misses him, but her parents Steven and Michele Moore count their blessings. Often she sees the plane before they do.
