Welcome to the Emory Eye Center, the largest, most comprehensive eye care facility in Georgia. For more than 125 years, individuals of all ages have come to Emory for care ranging from general eye examinations to the treatment of complex vision disorders. Resident and fellowship physicians from across the globe seek training here from our internationally renowned clinical and basic science faculty. Our research program is one of the top rated in the country, and our researchers are pi oneering new developments in vision care every day.
The Emory Eye Center has had a long history of providing advanced care for patients with a wide range of eye disorders. Patients of any age with any disease or visual disorder affecting the eye and surrounding areas can receive care in one of our many locations. Our specialists care for patients with cataracts, glaucoma, retinal and corneal disorders, tumors including melanoma, neurologic eye disorders, AIDS-related eye diseases, eye trauma, diseases and injuries affecting the structures surrounding the eye, and many other conditions. Our scientists are researching the causes of and improved treatments for cataracts, corneal disorders, genetic eye diseases in children, macular degeneration, and more. We also have optical shops that provide glasses, contact lenses, sunglasses, safety eyewear, and vision-assisting devices, such as magnifiers and telescopic lenses.
