Neuro-Ophthalmology
The Eye Center's neuro-ophthalmologist specializes in caring for patients with vision loss due to neurologic problems and diseases or injuries to the optic nerve and structures responsible for eye movement and pupillary function. She and her colleagues treat individuals who have eye movement and vision problems resulting from head trauma, stroke or tumor. Our ophthalmologists are studying hereditary diseases that cause optic nerve lesions and degeneration and researching ways to improve diagnostic techniques and disease management.
