Laser resurfacing uses specific wavelengths of light, which target water molecules in our skin causing tissue vaporization, to smooth wrinkles, tighten skin and stimulate natural collagen production. This produces significant improvement in the skin's texture leading to a more youthful and healthier appearance. CO2 laser resurfacing is used to treat aging and sun-damaged skin (Dr. Yellin uses the Coherent Ultrapulse Carbon Dioxide Laser, the most advanced laser of its kind). For the treatment of acne scarring either CO2 or a combination of CO2 and Erbium (Sciton Laser) may be used to improve the appearance of the skin.
