This procedure directly excises the extra skin that causes a very prominent fold from the nose to the corner of the mouth. The scar is placed in the natural crease and heals beautifully. This procedure is reserved for select patients in whom filler materials are not an option or the fold is so prominent that fillers alone will not fully correct the problem.
