Otolaryngology (ENT)

The physicians and clinical nurse manager that comprise the Center’s team have extensive experience and expertise in treating nasal, sinus, and allergy problems.

John M. DelGaudio, MD

Director of the Emory Sinus, Nasal and Allergy Center
Associate Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
Chief of Rhinology and Sinus Surgery
Emory University School of Medicine

Dr. DelGaudio has been at Emory since 1995, specializing in the treatment of sinus and nasal disorders.
In September 2006, Dr. DelGaudio was awarded the prestigious Golden Head Mirror Award by the American Rhinologic Society, recognizing meritorious teaching and service in Rhinology.
In July 2007 Dr. DelGaudio  was awarded the Gerald S. Gussack Recognition Award by the Georgia Society of Otolaryngology for teaching in Otolaryngology.
- Dr. DelGaudio received his medical school degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia where he graduated Maxima Cum Laude. He performed his residency training in Otolaryngology at The University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor, MI.
- Dr. DelGaudio is nationally recognized as a leader in the field of rhinology.

Charles Moore, MD

Director of the Emory Skull Base Program
Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology

Dr. Moore specializes in skull base surgery and maxillofacial trauma. He has been at Emory since 1997.
Dr. Moore graduated from the Harvard University School of Medicine. He performed his residency training in Otolaryngology at The University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor, MI.
- Dr. Moore completed a fellowship in Skull Base Surgery at The University of Michigan Hospitals.
Alpen Patel, MD

Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
Emory University School of Medicine

Dr. Patel specializes in the areas of allergy and sinonasal disorders.
Dr. Patel joined The Emory Clinic in 2006 and started the Emory Allergy Clinic.
Prior to joining Emory Dr. Patel spent 4 years on faculty at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he started the George Washington University Allergy & Sinus Center.
- Dr. Patel attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed his internship and residency at the University of Minnesota Hospitals in Minneapolis-St. Paul.
Sarah K. Wise, MD

Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
Emory University School of Medicine

Dr. Wise joined Emory University in 2007. She specializes in the treatment of nasal and sinus disorders.
Dr. Wise attended The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio and completed her residency training in Otolaryngology at Emory University in 2006.
- Dr. Wise completed a fellowship in Rhinology at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007.
Seth A. Yellin, MD
Chief, Facial Plastic Surgery, Emory Healthcare
Director, Emory Facial Center
Dr. Yellin is board-certified in both Otolaryngology (ABO) and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS).
Dr. Yellin joined Emory Healthcare in 1997, and in 1999 was named Chief of Facial Plastic Surgery. He lectures throughout the United States on a variety of topics including functional and cosmetic nasal surgery, facial rejuvenation, and facial reconstruction. He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is a test writer for the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Dr. Yellin earned a B.A. and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Emory University. He received his medical school degree and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
- Dr. Yellin completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under the direction of Richard T. Farrior, MD in Tampa, Florida, through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
