1 Year Clinical Fellowship and Observerships In Dizziness and Eye Movement Center
This is a salaried fellowship supported by revenue generated in the clinic. Our approach to the evaluation and nonsurgical treatment of patients with dizziness and balance disorders are taught in the clinic. Key points in the history, an extensive clinical exam, pertinent vestibular testing (bithermal water caloric, rotary chair, dynamic posturography, vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP), subjective visual vertical (SVV), ECoG, ABR, and quantified dynamic visual acuity) medical management, and vestibular rehabilitation will be stressed. All equipment, clinic and rehabilitation are on site. This will be of interest to physicians. If interested contact Dr. Tusa at 404 712-1976 or by email rtusa@emory.edu.

Fellowship Application Requirements

  • Completed Emory Fellowship application
  • Current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Personal statement describing your background, clinical & research interests, and career plans
  • Interview

All Fellows are required to have a Georgia Medical License by the first day of their fellowship. For inquiries regarding Georgia licensing requirements, please refer to the composite state medical board website.

Clinical Observerships In Dizziness and Balance Center

Observerships are available for Physical Therapists and MDs who have satisfactorily completed the Vestibular Rehabilitation-A Competency Based Course or the Vestibular Function Testing course (see Courses below). Emphasis is on the evaluation and nonsurgical treatment of patients with dizziness and balance disorders. There will be an opportunity to observe MDs, PTs and vestibular testing (caloric, rotary chair, dynamic posturography and quantified dynamic visual acuity, subjective visual vertical, vestibular evoked myogenic potentials) within the Center.If intterested contact Dr. Herdman at 404 712-1959 (sherdma@emory.edu) or Dr. Tusa (rtusa@emory.edu).
