PACS Access Privileges
Anyone who currently has a need to access Radiology films will be eligible to access images from the PACS web server over the intranet or the internet .

Access rights to the image data are defined in the Web server.  As a user, you are only able to access and view that data material for which you have appropriate authorization.

You access the range of functions made available to you by your access rights by entering your user ID (name) and password.  The range of functions offered you depends on the user group to which you are assigned.  These access rights govern, for example, whether of not you are allowed to delete data.

Security - Data is transmitted in accordance with the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Standard.  For this purpose, a security certificate (MagicWeb/ACOM.Web), which is essential to guarantee the security of data transfer, is installed automatically on your computer the first time you start the program.  The data is then automatically transmitted over a secure connection.  In addition, you can also encrypt (encode) the image data.

To Request Access to Emory Healthcare PACS

A PACS logon ID is required to access the application. Access Coordinators in conjunction with the Information Security Services Team provide Logon ID´s. Established Emory Clinic physicians should also contact their Department Director or Section Business Manager for a PACS logon ID. That Department Director or Section Business Manager will either be able to submit the request, or will have an access coordinator who can do this.

Community Physicians should contact Steve Bible. He is the access coordinator for community physicians and can be reached at 686-2836

Other: All requests for access to Emory Healthcare applications should go through an Access Coordinator.
