The Emory Division of Interventioal Neuroradiology treats patients with a variety of neurovascular conditions including cerebral aneurysms, arterio-venous malformations, tumors, stroke, and compression fractures among others.
Led by Jacques E. Dion, M.D., the outstanding Emory team uses the latest, innovative techniques and state-of-the-art equipment. Emory University Hospital is a research partner of Philips Medical Systems and features two angiographic suites for Interventional Neuroradiology use. The dedicated neurointerventional room has a state-of-the-art Philips Integris Allura Biplane unit with three-dimensional angiographic capability. The second room has a shared Philips BN-3000 digital biplane angiographic suite. A portable OEC Neuro Vas digital angiographic system is also available for use in the operating rooms for combined surgical cases. Complete laboratory facilities with digital fluoroscopy are also located on campus facilitating ongoing basic and clinical research at Emory University Hospital.
