Anola serves Emory Orthopaedics as a Physician Extender for Dr. Gary McGillivary.
Anola received her Bachelor of Science — Athletic Training from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. The native Floridian, started graduate school at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, and pursued her Master of Business Administration while working for Mercer's athletic department as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. As an athletic trainer for Mercer University, she worked with Men's Soccer, Women's soccer, Men's and Women's Tennis, Baseball, and Men's and Women's golf.
Upon finishing her MBA, Anola became a part of Emory by accepting the offer to join the Emory Sports Medicine Athletic Training Fellowship for the 2005-2006 class. Upon completion, Anola spent an extra month helping train the incoming fellowship class. She then went halfway around the world to travel in Australia for a couple months and see another part of the world. It was after she came back to the States that she began to call Atlanta home when she accepted the position with Dr. Gary McGillivary, a hand and upper extremity specialist in Emory Orthopaedics department, as his clinical athletic trainer. Anola is assisting Dr. McGillivary in both clinic operations and in the operating room.
