Gary M. McGillivary, MD
Dr. McGillivary earned his medical degree at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, where he also completed his internship and residency. He has also held a fellowship at the University of California School of Medicine in San Diego.
His areas of clinical research include hand surgery, carpal tunnel syndrome, microvascular surgery, upper extremities, and the wrist and elbow. Dr. McGillivary speaks French and began practicing at Emory in 1997.
He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Canadian Association for Sports Medicine, Canadian Hand Surgery Society, Canadian Medical Association, Canadian Orthopaedic Association, and the Nova Scotia Medical Society.
Dr. McGillivary's publications include "Consistency of AO Fracture Classification for the Distal Radius," published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, and "X-ray Film Measurements for Healed Distal Radius Fractures," published in the Journal of Hand Surgery.
