Emory Urology is continually experiencing exciting advances.  Dr. Marshall has performed an impressive 1,000 mini laparoscopies in the treatment of prostate cancer since arriving at Emory.  The new outpatient clinic has been reorganized under the leadership of Dr. Chad Ritenour.  The men?s health division has been created, and Dr. Ritenour and Dr. Jay Morgan see patients with a variety if issues including prostate problems, high PSA, infertility, and erectile dysfunction.  Dr. Morgan also works exclusively in the outpatient area to provide prompt emergent care.  Dr. Niall Galloway leads the female continence and urology center, where minimally invasive surgical techniques are now being applied.  Dr. John Patteras and Dr. Kenneth Ogan manage the minimally invasive surgery and stone clinics, where Dr. Ogan has introduced radio frequency ablation in the destruction of small renal tumors, and Dr. Patteras utilizes cryosurgery and a new non-open surgery technique for renal tumors.  Dr. Peter Nieh and Dr. Jeff Carney expertly treat bladder and testicular cancer as well as prostate cancer, with the use of cryosurgery and other new techniques.  Dr. Leland Chung leads in research of molecular markers that may provide new forms of diagnosis and therapy for prostate cancer.  Dr. John Petros continues advancing research on mitochondria DNA mutation.  Dr. Viraj Master leads in investigating patients with renal and prostate cancer.
