Breast Cancer Screening
There are a variety of screening options recommended for early detection of breast cancer, including breast self exams (BSE), clinical breast exam (CBE) as well as mammograms and other possible breast imaging. Emory Winship Cancer Institute supports the screening recommendations from the American Cancer Society. The Susan G. Komen Foundation website provides a step-by-step virtual self breast exam. The National Cancer Institute gives you a portal page on cancer topics, including the Physicians Data Query (PDQ.), NCI's comprehensive cancer database, and access to all approved clinical trials in the U.S. NCI is the federal government's principal agency for cancer research and training.
CancerQuest provides excellent lessons on the biology of cancer. CancerQuest is a service by Winship Cancer Institute in partnership with the Georgia Cancer Coalition and Emory University.

For more than 20 years, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has been a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and community-based outreach programs.
