About Dr. Christie

Education:

Dr. Christie is an award-winning gastroenterologist who specializes in gastroesophageal reflux disease, swallowing disorders, women's health, colon cancer screening, and other related conditions. She actively collaborates with colleagues in surgery, gynecology and urology to provide integrated care to produce the best possible outcomes for her patients.

Dr. Christie is actively involved in the education and training of medical students as well as medical residents at Emory University Hospital. She heads several research projects within the division and is the Director of Clinical Research for Gastroenterology.

Active Clinical Trials:

  • A randomized double blind, placebo-controlled trial to examine the effectiveness of lubiprostone on constipation symptoms and colonic transit in diabetic patients 
  • A randomized double blind, active-controlled study of CB-183,315 in patients with Clostridium difficile associated diarrhea.
