One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in the course of a lifetime. Melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer, will account for 70,230 new skin cancer diagnoses in 2011. Now, let’s juxtapose these numbers with the fact that nearly 30 million people tan indoors in tanning beds in the U.S. every year and 2.3 million of them are teens.
