A few weeks before she was scheduled to have her first mammogram, Kristen Moss discovered a lump in her breast. A biopsy confirmed that the lump was cancer. At the recommendation of a friend, Moss came to Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, where she was enrolled right away in a clinical study testing a novel combination of chemotherapy drugs formulated for her specific type of tumor.
