However, if detected early, and depending on the type and stage of the disease, lung cancer can be treated. The free online chat was held on November 27 at noon (ET) with lung cancer expert Dr. Ramalingam from the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, the only cancer center in Georgia designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
