Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths among both men and women. Each year, more people die of lung cancer than colon, breast and prostate cancers combined. However, if detected early, and depending on the type and stage of the disease, lung cancer can be treated. The free online chat was held on November 27 at noon (ET) with lung cancer expert Dr. Ramalingam from the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, the only cancer center in Georgia designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
