Take Heart ... There's Hope!
We are pleased to announce that Step UP Emory is once again sponsoring the "Take Heart ... There's Hope!" heart initiative. However, in an effort to increase employee access to the valuable elements of our annual campaign -- heart-health fairs, heart-healthy entrees in EHC cafeterias and educational information -- we have made a significant improvement to the initiative.
We're going with a yearlong calendar of events with a February kickoff!
You read correctly. We are expanding our calendar. So what does an ongoing campaign look like? Here is the scoop:
- Kickoff: We'll still kick off in February with our annual GREET/Step UP Emory Valentine treat of dark chocolates and an information card on Friday, February 12.
- Heart-Health Fairs: We'll kick off in February/March with three fairs and continue to travel throughout the system during the entire calendar year! View more information on the fairs and the schedule for February/March.
- Invite us to your department: Can't make it to a fair? If you would like us to schedule a fair on your unit, communicate this to your leader. He/she will then schedule a fair just for your team!
- EHC cafeterias: We'll debut two new heart-healthy entrees in our cafeterias -- one on Wednesday, February 17, and one on Wednesday, February 24. Be on the lookout for a special e-mail with the delicious details!
