2015 Application Process

To be considered for the Emory Healthcare Administrative Fellowship Program, applicants must be master's-level graduates in health care administration, business administration, public health, nursing administration or an equivalent degree program. Preferred applicants hold a master's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management (CAHME), Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), or The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). However, candidates from non-CAHME, CEPH and AACSB programs will be considered.

As a member of the National Council on Administrative Fellowships, the Administrative Fellowship Program follows a uniform application timeline.

Important Dates

  • Application Acceptance Period: July 17, 2015 to October 5, 2015
  • Application Deadline: October 5, 2015 at 5 p.m.
  • Interview process: October - November 2015
  • Final selection: November 2015
  • Fellowship start date: June 2016

Required Application Materials

The Administrative Fellowship application materials listed below should be submitted by 5 p.m. on October 5, 2015. 

  • 2016 Administrative Fellowship Program Application Form
  • Current Resume 
  • One-page Personal Statement
    • Please addresses the following in a one-page or less, single spaced personal statement:  
      • What stimulated your interest in health care as a career? 
      • Why are you interested in completing an administrative fellowship at Emory Healthcare? 
      • What are your post-fellowship career goals and how will an Emory Healthcare Administrative Fellowship help you achieve these goals? 
  • Three Signed Letters of Recommendation (please address to the Administrative Fellowship Selection Committee) 
  • Official Graduate School Transcript 
  • Undergraduate Transcript (may be unofficial copy)

Application Process

For your application to be considered, you must complete the following two steps:

  1. Complete a candidate profile and submit your resume through an online application on Emory Healthcare Careers’ job board, using Job Requisition ID: 54232BR
  2. Email the Required Application Materials outlined above and listed in the 2016 Administrative Fellowship Program Application form to Careers@emoryhealthcare.org  

Both steps must be completed by 5 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015 to be considered. Provided below is a step-by-step outline to submit your application through these two channels.  

Step 1: Complete Candidate Profile and Submit Resume through the Emory Healthcare Job Board

  • Go to www.emoryhealthcare.org/careers and select External Applicants.
  • Select “Create your account” and follow these steps:
    • Enter your email address
    • Create a unique password using the provided guidelines
    • Select a security question and enter the answer
    • Select “Create”
  • Search the listing of current job opportunities:
    • Select “Search Openings”
    • Enter Job Requisition ID: 54232BR
  • Found the Administrative Fellowship Program listing? Apply!
    • Check the box to the left of the Administrative Fellowship Program
    • Click Apply to job
    • You can apply using your LinkedIn or Facebook Profile or upload your resume to get started – Click Continue
    • Add your Contact Information – Click Continue
    • Answer Employment Eligibility Questions – Click Submit Application

 
Step 2: Email the Required Application Materials to Selection Committee
