A Message From Our Chief Nursing Officer

Susan Grant

It takes a special person to be a nurse. But it takes a visionary to be an Emory nurse. Our phenomenal team of nurses excels in an academic environment of learning, development and research. They view each routine process with a keen eye for improvement and possess the talent and strength to speak up; voice their opinions; and implement better, safer and more efficient methods.

Our nurses don't provide care to patients, they partner with patients and their family members to create customized care plans that fit the medical, cultural and personal needs of each patient. Therefore, the Emory nurse is sensitive to cultural diversity and eager to adapt to the needs of the patient.

We rely on our nurses for their expertise and knowledge. Their commitment to research and delivering patient- and family-centered care keeps Emory Healthcare moving toward our goal of improving, healing and preserving the lives of our patients.

If you are looking for a place where your ideas and expertise can change the face of patient care, you should talk with us about becoming an Emory nurse. I invite you to read the pages of this site to learn more about nursing at Emory Healthcare.
