Vandana Reddy, MD

Vandana Reddy, MD joined the Emory Eye Center Nov. 1, 2012. She provides educational efforts at Grady and sees patients at Emory Eye Center’s various locations.

Dr. Reddy received her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at Wellesley College. She attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and completed residency in ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic. She then completed a cornea fellowship at the University of Michigan’s Kellogg Eye Center.

Dr. Reddy provided medical outreach including cataract surgery in India, Salvation Army Free Eye Clinics, Medical Camps and Migrant Health Clinics, and the Student Sights Savers program, among others.

She has an academic interest in mentoring and training medical students and residents. She has a strong interest in international eye care and has spent time learning and practicing small incision sutureless extracapsular cataract surgeries. She has conducted research in ocular surface disease, corneal sensitivity, and corneal nerve density in patients with different neurologic disorders and various other systemic diseases.

National Recognition

She holds membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Cornea Society, North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She has presented posters at national meetings and published articles. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
