Medicare covers many healthcare related charges, and Budd Terrace will file claims to this agency, as well as to any Medicare supplemental insurance. Private-pay, long-term care nursing facility residents or their families are responsible for filing claims with other private insurers, but Budd Terrace will provide assistance with the information these agencies need. Budd Terrace does not accept Medicaid. If a resident requires a move from Budd Terrace for any reason, a social worker also will assist in preparation for this transition. Budd Terrace also can assist in making arrangements for transportation to community physicians and/or geriatric specialists not practicing on the Wesley Woods or Emory campus. Residents or their families are responsible for arranging and paying for any needed escorts during transportation.
