Heart & Vascular Recovery & Follow Ups

Faster recoveries and better outcomes for heart and vascular conditions

Recovering from a heart or vascular procedure is an important part of your health journey. Once your symptoms are treated, it may take some time before you’re able to return to your normal activities. It’s important to take your recovery seriously to improve your health, faster, and reduce the risk of returning for another procedure.

Depending on the severity of your treatment, you may spend XX to XX days in the hospital. After you’re discharged, your doctor will give you instructions for your diet, pain relief, caring for any wounds and returning to activities and exercise. If you’ve been fitted with a pacemaker or ICD, you can expect to have follow up visits every six to 12 months. They’re essential to ensuring your device is working properly.

We’re here to help you every step of the way with recovery services, including:

If you have questions or concerns about your recovery, please contact your doctor. Our Cardiac Device Clinic patients benefit from remote monitoring technology for pacemakers and ICDs. Remote monitoring allows us to check your device while you’re at home, saving you the time of having to come into the clinic.
