Joseph Dee, MPH

Joey is the Administrator for Emory’s Division of Hospital Medicine. He joined Hospital Medicine in Fall 2012 and is responsible for the financial and clinical operations of the Division, which includes the academic and clinical enterprise at 7 hospitals. The Division employs over 110 physician faculty members, 19 advanced practice providers, and 9 administrative staff members.

Prior to joining Hospital Medicine Joey worked as the Senior Manager for Emory Clinic’s Ambulatory Surgery Center, Emory Dialysis, and Emory Nephrology, where he managed the business operations and expansion of multiple ambulatory surgery centers and dialysis centers across Georgia with revenues exceeding $44.4M annually. His work includes the establishment of Emory Dialysis LLC, an $8.5M capital project, and multi-million dollar acquisitions of 2 ambulatory surgery centers. Joey received a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Emory University in May 2003 and a Masters of Public Health from Emory Rollins School of Public Health in December 2005. He has been working with Emory University School of Medicine and Emory Clinic since January 2006.
