Joseph Dee, MPH

Joey is the Senior Administrator for Emory’s Internal Medicine Specialties Department, which includes the Division of Hospital Medicine. He joined Emory in 2007 and is responsible for the financial and clinical operations of the Department, which includes a clinical enterprise at 6 outpatient facilities and 7 hospitals and over 150 faculty physicians and 200 staff.

Prior to joining Internal Medicine, Joey worked as the Operations and Division Administrator for the Division of Hospital Medicine, and as the Senior Manager for Emory Clinic’s Ambulatory Surgery Center, Emory Dialysis, and Emory Nephrology, where he managed the business operations and expansion of multiple ambulatory surgery centers and dialysis centers across Georgia with revenues exceeding $44.4M annually. His work includes the establishment of Emory Dialysis, reduction of costs in excess of $2M, and the acquisitions of 2 ambulatory surgery centers.

Joey received a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Emory University in May 2003 and a Masters of Public Health from Emory Rollins School of Public Health in December 2005. He has been working with Emory University School of Medicine and Emory Clinic since January 2006.
