New Employee Orientation

We understand starting a new job can be overwhelming. That’s why all new employees can expect a minimum of two days of orientation to better understand our goals and culture. The first day of orientation, known as New Employee System Orientation, will focus on the entire Emory Healthcare system. Day two will cover orientation specific to your operating unit.

  • Arriving. New Employee System Orientation begins promptly at 8 a.m. and ends at approximately 4:30 p.m. Plan enough time for parking and to find your way to the orientation location before the session starts. Lunch will be provided on day one.
  • Dressing appropriately. Professional business attire is required during orientation. Your offer letter has helpful information on what is considered proper dress, but we will discuss our dress code policy during day one if, you have any questions.
  • Parking. Be aware that your orientation location may be different than your assigned work location. If orientation is located at your assigned work location, please park in your designated lot. If your primary work location is elsewhere, you may park in visitor parking; we will provide parking validation before the end of the session.

LEADER ORIENTATION
If you are a new administrator, department director or manager, you must be familiar with our philosophy, operations, policies, procedures and practices. In addition to general orientation, leader orientation is routinely conducted. Your administrator or department director is responsible for ensuring you complete this orientation and will provide the details of the next session.
