Several free classes are available through our Birth Place to help new and expecting parents as they prepare for a new arrival. Our classes include Labor, Delivery & Postpartum 101, Breastfeeding 101, and Newborn Care Essentials. To learn more and sign up, visit our Birth Place page.

The Johns Creek Fire Department offers free CPR certification courses.

Diabetes education classes are held virtually for all participants.

Our Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Group meets virtually on the third Wednesday of the month from 6-7pm via Zoom. The sessions offer helpful coping skills and strategies to help you through your experience. You’ll also hear presentations by health, nutrition, fitness, and legal experts. The Bariatric Support Group is free and open to both pre-and post-operative patients, including patients having surgery from other hospitals and centers. It is an integral part of your success and is a monthly commitment. No registration is required to attend. The group meets monthly via Zoom on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 12:00pm ET.

Led by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), our Breastfeeding Support Group is an in-person chance to meet, bond with, and get support from other new moms! Babies are welcome and weight checks are available. Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The Parkinson's Wellness Network is a support community of individuals affected by Parkinson's disease. Each meeting features a speaker and is focused on topics such as the latest research breakthroughs, treatment options, management strategies, and services available for individuals living with Parkinson's disease. The Parkinson’s Wellness Network is designed to help you connect with support, camaraderie, and resources throughout your journey with Parkinson’s.

We meet quarterly (February, May, August, November) at Emory Johns Creek Outpatient Rehab, 11670 Medlock Bridge Road, Johns Creek, GA 30097. Meeting details will be sent out each quarter. A virtual support group, held by Emory Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical Stroke Survivors’ Club, every 4th Thursday from 11:00am – 12:00pm. The November meeting will be held on the 3rd Thursday and there is no meeting in December. Held on Mondays (in person at EJCH) and Thursdays (Zoom only) from 11:00 am – 12:30pm.

The Total Joint Replacement class prepares patients for upcoming hip and knee surgeries. Education is provided regarding pre-operative, hospital, and post-operative experiences, along with patient expectations. Surgeon preferences are also discussed to be sure that there are no surprises for the patient or the physician. This class is taught by the Orthopedic Coordinator / Nurse Navigator.
