Volunteering

With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are enormous to you, your family and your community. The right match can help you enrich the community, find friends, learn new skills and even advance your career. Volunteering can also help protect your mental and physical health.

Our volunteers support our gift shop, admissions departments, provide visitor and patient support and raise funds for everything from equipment to scholarships.

Teens 15-19 years old may participate in the VolunTEEN program during the summer. Applications are available by email to applicants beginning January 8, 2018 by calling 678-843-7292. A transcript, recommendation letter and vaccination records must be submitted with the application. Applications are accepted on a first come, first serve basis and there are only 65 slots. Applications will not be accepted after February 1, 2018.

Important VolunTEEN dates for 2018 are:

  • February 1 – Final deadline for applications
  • May 15 – Deadline to complete TB Test
  • June 4 – Mandatory Orientation
  • July 26 – Graduation Ceremony
